About Patrice

I'm Rev. Dr. Patrice Gerideau — a storyteller, spiritual director, and spiritual formation coach whose life and work live at the intersection where God's story meets our story.

I know what it is to be spiritually faithful and privately floundering — to long for a faith that holds you Monday through Saturday, not just Sunday morning.

I found that life through Christian contemplative spirituality in the Ignatian tradition, which moved me from spiritual floundering to flourishing. Now I walk with others to help them do the same through spiritual direction (learning to be with God) and spiritual formation coaching (learning to live everyday life with God).

As a spiritual director, I lead retreats centered on silence, stillness, and scripture — spaces to slow down, listen, and become more aware of God's presence in ordinary life. As a spiritual formation coach, I walk alongside women who are ready to move from insight to practice — building sustainable rhythms of prayer, spiritual disciplines, and a life with God that holds them all week long.

I also serve as Associate Minister of Spiritual Formation and Creative Practice at Convergence — a ministry for artists of faith — and am the creator of soul|makers.

Educational & Training

I hold a Doctor of Ministry in Transformational Leadership from Boston University, a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary, a Master of Sacred Theology from Drew University, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Goddard College, along with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Journalism from the University of Georgia. I have received specialized training in Spiritual Direction from Sustainable Faith School, Personal Development Coaching from the CaPP Institute, Nonprofit Leadership from the University of the District of Columbia, and Acting from The Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts.

What guides me most is not my credentials but my calling — to know, love, and follow Christ, and to walk with others who are finding their way to the same.

If you feel at home in this kind of space, I'm grateful our paths have crossed.

Food for Thought

Stillness is Holy.

Stillness is Revolutionary.

The life of holy listening is not just for monks.

It’s for all of us.
