About Patrice

My life and work live at the intersection where God's story meets our story — and I have spent my life learning to read both.
I write to listen.
I write to tell the truth about the soul.
I write to make room.
I write as someone listening for God.
I write to hold a sanctuary — through story, silence, and attention.

I minister to trace the places where God's story meets our story — in scripture, in the inner life, and in the quiet, unfolding rhythm of ordinary days.
My work lives at the intersection of story and Spirit.
Sometimes that takes the shape of a reflection.
Sometimes a character's voice.
Sometimes a gentle piece of soulwork.
Sometimes a storytelling retreat.
All of it flows from a grounded, prayerful way of seeing the world.

I am an artist minister who helps you tend your soul and find the words God has placed within you.
My education and training — which includes a Doctor of Ministry in Transformational Leadership from Boston University, a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Goddard College, and spiritual direction training through Sustainable Faith — are tools I bring to my primary calling as a minister of the Gospel. I also serve as Associate Minister of Spiritual Formation and Creative Practice at Convergence — a ministry for artists of faith and the creator of soul|makers. These experiences shape me, but what guides my writing most is a longing to know, love, and follow Christ.

If you feel at home in that kind of space, I’m grateful our paths have crossed.

Food for Thought

Stillness is Holy.

Stillness is Revolutionary.

The life of holy listening is not just for monks.

It’s for all of us.
